BCS Allegient is honored to sponsor the West Virginia Regional Science Bowl and the Western Pennsylvania Regional Science Bowl, hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology

These exciting regional competitions will take place over the period January to March 2025.

Winners of the regional events will advance to DOE’s National Science Bowl in April 2025.

The Science Bowl is a premier nationwide academic competition that challenges students’ knowledge across all areas of science and mathematics. Teams of middle and high school students compete in a fast-paced, question-and-answer format, showcasing their expertise in disciplines such as biology, chemistry, Earth science, physics, energy, and math.

Established in 1991, the Science Bowl was created by the DOE to inspire students to excel in STEM fields and pursue careers in science and mathematics. Over its 35-year history, more than 344,000 students have participated, making it one of the nation’s largest and most impactful science competitions.
